U3A Martock and District Monthly meeting

Martock u3a will hold its monthly meeting next Wednesday in the Parish Hall. Doors open at 2.15pm for a 2.30pm start. Ian Winkle will talk about “The Geological Background to the Island of Tenerife”. The Canary island of Tenerife is dominated by Mount Teide, the highest mountain in Spanish territory and an active volcano. Tea and cakes will be served after the talk.

Martock u3a also has over thirty interest groups which range from academic subjects such as languages, science and philosophy, through hobbies such as recorders, sewing and paper crafting, to games such as scrabble, bridge and mah jong. We are now open to adults of any age who have free time during the day to enjoy our activities.
