Alternative fuel bill support
Do you use Oil, LPG, or solid fuel to heat your house?
If so, have you received the £200 Alternative Fuels Payment (AFP)? Most households will receive it via their electricity company. You need to check.
If you haven’t received this support, you can apply online or by phone.

You can apply if:
- you pay for the energy your household uses
- you’re applying for your main, permanent home
You will need:
- an email address or phone number (if you have one)
- your bank account details
- proof that you’ve spent £200 on alternative fuels to heat your home since September 2022 (for example, a delivery note or receipt)
